Laboratory of Surface Treatments

Student João Vitor Alves from the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering and Sciences at UFSC Joinville defended his master thesis titled “Construção de um electrospinning de baixo custo para produção de membranas de poli(álcool vinílico)” (in Portuguese). The work, which contributes to the development of polymer membranes for application in fuel cells, was supervised by Professor Diego Alexandre Duarte and co-supervised by Professor Derce de Oliveira Souza Recouvreu. The examination committee was composed of Professors Diego Alexandre Duarte, Márcia Adriana Tomaz Duarte (DMB Nano), Viviane Lilian Soethe Parucker (UFSC Joinville), and Claudimir Antônio Carminatti (UFSC Joinville). Professor Diego Alexandre Duarte taught the course Plassma Assisted Combustion at the 9^th International Combustion Institute Winter School (9^th RNC-CI-WS), held at UFSC Joinville from July 10-14, 2023. The course was taught by Professors Deanna Lacoste (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saude Arabia),  Julio César Sagás (UDESC/CCT), and Diego Alexandre Duarte, who covered the folloing topics, respectively: Plasma Assisted Combustion, Plasma Chemistry and Fundamentals of Plasma Physics.
