Laboratory of Surface Treatments

Postdoctoral researcher Francisco Alfaro presented at the XLIV XLIV Brazilian Congress on Vacuum Applications in Industry and Science (CBrAVIC 2023) the works titled “Design of a vacuum chamber for film deposition by magnetron sputtering” and “Nb-doped TiO₂ films for application as transparent conductive oxides.” Both works received funding from CNPq. The first work involves the construction of a vacuum chamber for sputtering, produced in partnership with the company 4KSOLID and students from the Mechanical Engineering program at UniSENAI campus Jaraguá do Sul-SC, under the guidance of researcher Francisco Alfaro and the supervision of Professor Diego Alexandre Duarte. The project, which was the subject of the students’ undergraduate thesis, was defended in December 2023 under the title “Projeto de uma câmara de vácuo para deposição de filmes finos pelo processo de magnetron sputtering” (in Portuguese).
